The Radyr & Morganstown Association was set up in 1987 with the prime aim of acquiring and managing the Old Church Rooms (in Park Road) which were then up for sale. Fortunately, the Old Church Rooms were acquired for the community by the Community Council and are now managed jointly by us and them as a very successful community centre. Follow this link to find out more about the Old Church Rooms and how to book them.

We are now a Charity (number 519036) with a published constitution which aims to work with all sections of the local community to make Radyr and Morganstown a great place in which to live and work. We are affiliated to the Civic Trust for Wales and so are able to do our work within a Wales-wide context.

The Association is a membership organisation with both individual and group membership. All individuals living or working in the area and all local groups are eligible for membership. Anyone wishing to join us should contact the Association’s secretary (email at foot of this page). There is currently no membership subscription.

We hold General Meetings, which are open to both members and the public, at least four times a year. These are normally either in The Old Church Rooms or Morganstown Village Hall. We would be delighted to see you there.

The Association is active in both Sport and Arts activities. We also run the May Festival, which is both a ‘shop front’ for all community groups and raises money for charity.

The Executive Committee is elected every year at an Annual General Meeting held in April. All posts are open for election.
